Scallops please! baby quilt

Never mind the fish and chips at your local; go for the scallops. Scallops please! is the new quilt block in this marine series. Under the water, or in the shop, the scallops are the winner with this fabric in soft blue.  I’m not a huge fan of blue and yellow together, however, the beachy yellow sand, and the fresh blue spotty fabric just seem to belong together.  It’s what’s needed to show off this fresh scallop pattern.

Finally, I am branching out and trying to have a go at quilting something bigger, than a quilted table runner.  Here is the final baby quilt finished.

The binding fabric, which I’d found in my fabric stash, have these cute little ducks printed all over it. So, have finally found a use for the fabric.  This baby quilt measures 46 1/2″ x 32 1/2 “.

If you’ve liked this Scallop pattern, you’ll find other marine life quilt block patterns to try.   ‘Crabby Crab‘, ‘Octopus Arms‘,  ‘Seahorse Bob‘, and ‘Ahoy the Anchors‘ patterns all made in 12 1/2″ blocks and can be found in my shop .

Have fun sewing.

Marsha.
