Surf, sand, beach umbrellas, and ‘Sunny shade’ Table Runner.

Hi, and welcome to Sew Blue Thread.  I can’t help but think of Summer, when the days are warm.   The surf,  the sand, beach umbrellas, and shade.  Oh, that lovely shade, when the sun is beating down, just making everything even hotter.  The beach umbrella just fixes everything, and takes heat away.  Here is a look at my latest quilt pattern, ‘Sunny Shade’.

Sunny Shade table runner.  I used white on the background, and sashing.

The fabric chosen was ‘Strawberry Fields Revisited’ by Fig Tree & co, for Moda fabrics.   There were enough colours in this fabric bundle charm pack to use on the whole table runner.  I mainly kept to the pink, red, green, blue colours for the umbrella, yellow sun and the binding fabric uses up the left over fabric .   The table runner measures, 43″ x 13″.  Simple pins were used before top stitching the runner.

I love how the table runner, has a fresh Summery feel about it.

The ‘Sunny Shade’ Table Runner can also be matched together with my other ‘Coconut Bay’ pattern. This one I brought out in 2016, and they look fabulous together.
