Paper Cut Quilt

Hi, and welcome to Sew Blue Thread.

We are having a beautiful Winter day here, however looking at the pic below, it appears to be a hot Summer day.  No filter necessary.  The top pic shows the front of the Quilt, and the bottom pic, the back of the quilt.  Where there was left over fabric, I stitched it to the white backing fabric.  On my cutting table, no fabric square was left behind.

The new quilt is called, Paper Cut Quilt, and is another easy to finish quilt pattern.  Paper Cut Quilt measures 28″ x 28″, and suits a confident beginner quilter.  Any charm pack will do, and the colours in the pack will blend together, because that’s how charm packs are designed. The quilt can also be completed using fabric scraps, using 4 different colour fabrics, not including the white background, or any colour background for that matter.

The beautiful fabric used, has been Gingham Gardens charm pack, from Graceful Stitchers.  They are an Australian family-owned business and have a range of 100% cotton quilting fabric including pre-cut packs.

I actually think the back can be used as a top, just as much as the front can.

Here are the fabric squares all in a row, and look beautiful.  There was no way, I thought the black colourway would work at all, but the results show that it does.  Trust the design behind the charm pack.

So until next time,

Happy sewing.

 Marsha.
