Hi, and welcome to Sew Blue Thread! Today, I’m excited to announce a Quilt-A-long and a first for Sew Blue Thread. In this Quilt-A-Long, we’ll be making a ‘Sky Series Mini Quilt’, showing off a Sky theme. Something a little bit different!
The Sky Series Quilt-A-Long is super easy and will take a couple of charm pack 5″ squares to complete. The background and binding requires 1 fat quarter. The fabric used on the sample Mini Quilt is ‘Latitude’ by Kate Spain for Moda fabric.
The quilt-A-Long begins 20th April, 2018 and goes for 3 weeks finishing on 4th May, 2018 with the final release being 11th May, 2018. Every Friday, one of the quilt patterns will be up on the blog with all the tips/tricks to finishing off the weeks pattern. This is a good Quilt-A-Long for any level quilter.

Dates for releasing Mini Quilt tops are:
20 April, 2018 – ‘To the Sky’ pieced quilt top release
27 April, 2018 – ‘Sky High’ pieced quilt top release
4 May 2018 – ‘Sky Float’ pieced quilt top release
11 May 2018 – ‘Sky Series Mini Quilt‘, final release of the pieced quilt top. Not necessarily finished into a quilt with wadding/batting, backing fabric and binding.
