What’s Around the Corner in 2018

Hello everybody,

Another year has gone, and another year has begun.  New years are just the best times for starting off something new.   I get excited about trying new ideas out with nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

To begin with in this new year, 2018, I have a new quilt block pattern that is one that’s free.  If you’ve had a go with any of my patterns, they’re fairly simple to follow, with heaps of diagrams, and plenty of help with each step.   The quilt pattern is called ‘Around the corner’.  It’s a 2 colour quilt block, and it’s free for downloading.  You can find the quick link below.

The Around the Corner quilt block pattern is 12″ x 12″ when pieced, and 12.5″x 12.5″ (unpieced).  It’s my 28th pattern, and the fabric used here is 1 fat eighth of white fabric, and 1 fat eighth blue fabric for the single block.  If you plan to make multiple blocks, I’d love to see how they turn out. You can send it to my Instagram page, @sewbluethread.

Here I used Tim Holtz fabrics called ‘Eclectic Elements’, and yes, the fabric collection is definitely eclectic, and just lovely to use and coordinate.
